Milk Education are more than a supply partner – we are a community of educators. We are currently recruiting for a School Administrator to join a Secondary School in the Gateshead area. It would be to start ASAP on a term time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and experience working in a busy administrative or school office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the school reception area and acting as the first point of contact
  • Answering phone calls and responding to emails
  • Maintaining accurate pupil and staff records
  • Supporting attendance monitoring and reporting
  • Assisting with general administrative duties including filing and data entry
  • Liaising with staff, parents, and external agencies

Requirements or Skills

  • Previous experience in an administrative or school office role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident IT skills, including use of school systems (e.g. SIMS desirable)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
