We’re currently recruiting for Supply Primary Teachers to work across our partner primary schools in Salford on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term or temp-to-perm basis, starting September 2026 .

You’ll have the opportunity to work across a variety of welcoming and supportive schools , gaining experience in different year groups and settings while maintaining the flexibility to choose when and where you work .

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum.
  • Following lesson plans and adapting activities to meet the needs and abilities of pupils.
  • Maintaining a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively and promoting positive attitudes to learning.
  • Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
  • Differentiating learning and providing additional support where required, including for pupils with SEND.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and staff across different school settings.
  • Completing appropriate classroom administration, including recording pupil progress where required.
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff.
  • Upholding safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.

Requirements or Skills

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Previous experience teaching within a primary school setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and supporting children’s development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • A flexible, adaptable and reliable approach to working across different school environments.
  • The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
