Hours: 8:30-15:30, Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching & Learning
    • Deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS Framework
    • Follow lesson plans provided by the school or confidently adapt activities where required
    • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
    • Support children’s learning and development through creative and interactive activities
    • Adapt quickly to different nursery settings and routines
  • Child Development & Wellbeing
    • Promote children’s confidence, independence, and positive behaviour
    • Build positive relationships with children and staff
    • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and supportive classroom environment
    • Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development
  • Teamwork & Professional Practice
    • Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and school staff
    • Follow school policies, procedures, and safeguarding requirements at all times
    • Provide clear feedback to the class teacher or school at the end of each assignment
    • Represent Milk Education professionally in every placement

Essential Criteria

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent and relevant UK teaching experience within a Nursery or Early Years setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new school environments
  • Must live locally to Gateshead—no relocation
