Milk Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Rotherham. This exciting opportunity involves teaching Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport and physical activity. This is a full-time position, available for an immediate start or from September 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
  • Encourage students to develop confidence, teamwork, leadership skills, and a passion for physical activity
  • Support students in developing practical skills, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles
  • Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and enrichment activities where appropriate

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Specialism in Physical Education, with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
