We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and welcoming schools. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and is considering a future career in education.
You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils’ learning, development, and wellbeing, helping to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support pupils individually and in small groups to reinforce learning
- Assist the class teacher with preparing resources and classroom activities
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Support with playground duties and school activities as needed
- Have a genuine interest in working with children
- Be patient, caring, and approachable
- Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills
- Be reliable, proactive, and willing to learn
- Have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
- Previous experience working with children (school, childcare, tutoring, coaching, etc.) is desirable but not essential
- A friendly and supportive staff team
