Are you a passionate and committed educator looking to make a real difference to pupil progress? We are seeking a motivated Intervention & Cover Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking primary school.
Role Overview: This role combines targeted intervention teaching with general class cover across the school. You will play a key part in supporting learning, particularly for pupils in Year 6, while ensuring continuity and high standards of teaching during staff absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering targeted intervention groups for Year 6 pupils to support progress in core areas of learning
- Providing high-quality cover teaching across the school when required
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet a range of learning needs
- Working closely with teaching staff to identify and support pupils who require additional intervention
- Maintaining a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
- Contributing to the wider life and values of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Have experience working with primary-aged pupils
- Be confident delivering both small-group interventions and whole-class teaching
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and adaptable teaching skills
- Be committed to improving outcomes for all learners
- Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated staff team
