Reception Teaching Assistant – Read Write Inc Specialist

Milk Education is working closely with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in the L20 area to appoint a passionate Reception Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Read Write Inc (RWI) phonics. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025 , perfect for someone confident delivering early phonics support in an EYFS setting.

About the Role:

Supporting the Reception class teacher with day-to-day learning and routines

Delivering targeted phonics sessions using the Read Write Inc programme

Supporting early reading, writing, and language development

Working with small groups and 1:1 to boost early literacy

Creating a fun, language-rich learning environment

Assisting with classroom organisation, outdoor learning, and play-based activities

What We’re Looking For:

Strong experience using the Read Write Inc (RWI) programme in a school setting

EYFS or KS1 classroom experience, ideally in Reception

A patient, enthusiastic, and child-led approach to learning

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
