The predicted salary is between 14500 - 23257 £ per year.

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Durham and Teesside and is looking to recruit passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated PPA Cover Teachers to join schools from September 2026.

Whether you’re an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a flexible teaching opportunity or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to build your classroom experience, we’d love to hear from you.

We have a range of long-term and full-time opportunities available, supporting schools with planned PPA cover across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

You’ll play a vital role in providing high-quality teaching across different year groups, maintaining continuity of learning and creating positive classroom environments where pupils remain engaged and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
  • Follow school planning and curriculum requirements.
  • Adapt lessons to meet the needs of different pupils and year groups.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress where required.
  • Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team.
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within a Primary School setting is desirable.
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply.
  • Confident teaching across different Primary year groups.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to different school environments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
