About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and engaging Music Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Stockport, supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, including Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and adaptable teacher who can use music to engage pupils, build confidence and develop positive relationships with young people who may have faced barriers to education.

You will deliver engaging, practical music lessons tailored to individual learning needs, creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where pupils can express themselves, develop new skills and enjoy learning.

  • Strong behaviour management, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, resilient and adaptable approach, with the ability to motivate pupils who may be reluctant to engage in education.

The School

The school is a specialist SEMH setting in Stockport, supporting children and young people who require a more personalised and nurturing approach to education. The school places a strong emphasis on emotional wellbeing, positive relationships and helping pupils re-engage with learning.
