We’re currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a large Primary School in Oldham on a long term basis starting ASAP. You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on inclusion and wellbeing of their students and the community. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced educator to become a familiar face in a school where staffing, culture and community go hand in hand.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, responding to their individual needs
  • Helping deliver catch‑up sessions to close learning gaps
  • Working alongside the class teacher on lesson planning and adapting resources
  • Promoting an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong

Requirements or Skills:

  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting
  • Solid numeracy and literacy skills
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands‑on experience
  • Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team
  • Experience of supporting students with SEND needs
  • Good behaviour management skills
