Nursery Practitioner – Level 3 (Early Years)

Milk Education are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join one of our welcoming early years settings in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practitioner to become part of a caring, creative, and supportive team committed to giving every child the best start in life.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework, supporting children\’s social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that nurtures curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.
• Carry out regular observations and assessments, contributing to each child\’s learning journey and progress record.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for children.
• Provide high-quality personal care—feeding, toileting, and changing—while maintaining each child\’s dignity and comfort.
• Promote positive behaviour and social skills through gentle guidance and effective communication.
• Ensure all policies, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety standards are followed at all times.

Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or equivalent (essential).
• Proven experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS, early childhood development, and inclusive practice.
• Warm, caring, and patient personality with a genuine passion for early education.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths – Grade C/4 or above.
