Year 6 Teacher - Primary

We’re currently recruiting for a Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Preparing pupils for SATs through high-quality teaching and targeted interventions
- Monitoring pupil progress and adapting lessons to meet individual needs
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Working closely with teaching assistants, parents and the wider school team
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to become independent learners
- Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
Requirements or Skills:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching within KS2, ideally Year 6
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and SATs preparation
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Confident using assessment data to inform planning
- Enthusiastic, organised and committed to raising attainment

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
