We’re currently recruiting for a

School Admin Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive school in Nottinghamon a long-term, short-term or temp-to-perm basis, starting in

September .

You’ll be joining a school that prides itself on creating a positive, inclusive environment where pupils, staff and families are at the heart of everything they do.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous school administration experience, or a strong administrative background looking to move into education.

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Providing administrative support to the school office and senior leadership team.
  • Answering telephone calls, responding to emails and welcoming visitors to the school.
  • Managing pupil records, attendance and general data entry using school management systems.
  • Supporting with filing, photocopying, correspondence and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assisting with admissions, communications to parents and general day-to-day office administration.
  • Ensuring confidential information is handled professionally and in line with GDPR.

Requirements or Skills

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a school or education setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and school management systems such as SIMS or Arbor (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a busy office environment.
  • A professional, approachable and friendly manner.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
