Primary School Teaching Assistant Role
You will work within primary schools, supporting children across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, helping to create positive learning environments where pupils can thrive and succeed.
Responsibilities of a Primary School Teaching Assistant may include:
- Supporting the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities
- Working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis with pupils
- Supporting children with additional learning needs where required
- Assisting with classroom routines and behaviour management
- Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence and independence
- Supporting children’s social, emotional and educational development
- Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For in a Primary School Teaching Assistant:
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent Teaching Assistant qualification)
- Experience working with children in a nursery, childcare or primary school setting
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and development
- A reliable, adaptable and proactive approach
- Availability for at least 1–2 days per week (flexible)
