We’re currently searching a Learning and Behaviour Mentor to join a Primary School based in North Durham starting in September.

You’ll be joining welcoming and nurturing schools that put wellbeing and community at the center of everything they do.

Learning and Behaviour Mentor – Main Responsibilities

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support tailored to pupils’ individual learning needs
  • Fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued, respected, and included
  • Inspiring the children to engage in lessons fully
  • Assisting with the delivery of targeted intervention and catch-up sessions to help pupils bridge learning gaps

Learning and Behaviour Mentor – Requirements or Skills

  • Passion for working with children
  • Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred)
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands‑on experience (preferred)
