September . This role is temporary/permanent/temp-to-perm .
You'll be joining a supportive, specialist setting dedicated to helping young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism, SEMH, Moderate Learning Difficulties and communication needs. The school is committed to inclusion and individualised learning , ensuring every student is supported to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.

Your main responsibilities will include
- Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, responding to their individual SEND needs.
- Helping to deliver personalised learning activities and interventions to support academic, social and emotional development.
- Working alongside teachers and other professionals to adapt lessons and resources to meet a range of learning needs.
- Promoting a calm, accepting and inclusive learning environment where every student feels safe, valued and encouraged to achieve their goals.
- Supporting students with emotional regulation, communication and positive behaviour strategies where required.
Requirements or Skills
- Recent experience working in a school, SEND setting or education environment is desirable
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs such as Autism, SEMH, ADHD or learning difficulties is desirable.
- Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education, health and social care or similar - or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Comfortable taking direction from teaching staff and working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A patient, resilient and empathetic approach to supporting young people with diverse learning needs.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
