Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Newcastle from September 2026.
This rewarding full-time role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential in a nurturing classroom environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning activities
- Encourage communication, confidence and independence
- Support positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Help create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
About You
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery or care setting is desirable
- A patient, resilient and positive attitude
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
- Able to work collaboratively within a school team
