Pupil Support Assistant Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils within the classroom to access learning activities and achieve their learning goals
- Work with individuals and small groups to provide targeted academic support
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and participation in lessons
- Assist the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Help prepare learning resources and classroom activities
- Promote positive relationships and act as a role model for pupils
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required
About You
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
- Committed to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing
- Previous experience working with children (voluntary or professional)
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are advantageous
- Graduates, youth workers, support workers and those considering a career in teaching are encouraged to apply
