Milk Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newcastle for a Primary Classroom Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development across the primary age range. The role is full time and will involve working closely with class teachers to provide both classroom and small-group support.
The Role
- Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Assist the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons
- Provide small-group and 1:1 support where required
- Help create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
- Encourage children's confidence, independence and social development
- Support pupils with additional learning or emotional needs when necessary

- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or youth setting
- A patient, caring and enthusiastic attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A proactive approach and willingness to get involved in all aspects of school life
