Milk Education is working with a supportive primary school in Newcastle to recruit a dedicated Classroom Learning Assistant for a full-time role starting in September 2026. This is a varied classroom-based position supporting pupils across the primary age range and working closely with teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
The Role
- Support pupils during whole-class and independent learning
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
- Reinforce key skills in literacy, numeracy and other curriculum areas
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and resources
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence and resilience
- Support children with a range of abilities and learning needs
About You
- Previous experience working with children is desirable
- Experience in a school, nursery, childcare or youth setting would be beneficial
- Patient, enthusiastic and adaptable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to build positive relationships with children
- Passionate about helping pupils reach their potential
