We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the Amble area of Northumberland. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is passionate about education and keen to gain hands-on experience working with young children in a nurturing school environment.

You will play an important role in supporting pupils with a range of learning needs to access the curriculum, while also promoting their confidence, wellbeing, and personal development. This opportunity provides valuable experience for those considering a future in teaching, educational psychology, SEN support, or other child-focused professions.

Key responsibilities
  • You will provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs across the primary age range.
  • Working closely with class teachers, you will assist with the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities.
  • You will support pupils’ engagement, emotional development, and confidence, helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • The role involves working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals, supporting the monitoring of EHCP targets and pupil progress, and encouraging independence and resilience in learners.
The ideal candidate
