Milk Education is recruiting Graduate Cover Supervisors and Learning Support Assistants to support secondary schools across Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas. This flexible role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, education, or youth support who want practical experience in schools.
Cover Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervise pre-prepared lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Support students in completing work set by the class teacher
- Encourage pupils to stay engaged and focused throughout lessons
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies
You will not be required to plan lessons or mark work, making this an excellent opportunity to gain classroom experience and develop confidence working with young people.
Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, responding to their individual needs
- Helping deliver catch-up sessions to close learning gaps
- Working alongside the class teacher on lesson planning and adapting resources
- Promoting an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong
