Milk Education is working in partnership with a secondary school in Middlesbrough to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term temporary basis starting in September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive school environment and make a real impact on students’ learning and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Delivering engaging lessons that develop students' creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills.
- Planning, preparing, and assessing work in line with the national curriculum.
- Maintaining a safe and productive workshop/classroom environment.
- Contributing positively to the wider school community and departmental activities.
Requirements:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school setting.
- Specialisms in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, or Construction are welcomed.
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Has a genuine passion for teaching and supporting young people to achieve their potential.
