Are you a passionate and dedicated Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teacher looking for your next opportunity?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming secondary school in

Stockton-on-Tees for a full-time, long-term MFL Teacher to cover a period of staff sickness.

The Role

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring MFL lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The school welcomes applications from teachers who can teach one or more modern foreign languages, with French and Spanish being particularly desirable.

You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons, assess student progress, maintain high standards of classroom behaviour, and contribute positively to the wider school environment.

The position is expected to continue on a long-term basis while covering a member of staff on sickness absence, offering consistency and stability for both staff and students.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages within a secondary school setting.
  • Can teach one or more languages, including French and/or Spanish.
  • Has excellent classroom management skills.
  • Is enthusiastic, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality teaching.
  • Can quickly build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
