Year 3 Teacher | Mainstream Primary School | M34, Tameside

We are currently recruiting for a Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive Primary School in the M34 area of Tameside. This is a full-time role starting in September and running for the full academic year. You’ll be joining a nurturing and inclusive school that places a strong emphasis on achievement, wellbeing, and positive relationships. The leadership team is committed to supporting both pupils and staff, creating an environment where teachers can thrive and develop professionally. This role is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers. The school has a strong track record of supporting ECTs through their induction and will provide ongoing mentoring and guidance throughout the academic year.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum
  • Creating a positive and structured classroom environment that promotes learning and independence
  • Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and adapting teaching to meet individual learning requirements
  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to maintain high expectations across the classroom
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing targeted support to help children achieve their full potential
  • Working collaboratively with support staff, SEND professionals, parents, and the wider school community

Requirements or Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
  • Applications welcome from both ECTs and experienced teachers
  • Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Good understanding of SEND and experience adapting learning to meet a range of needs
  • Strong classroom organisation and effective planning skills
  • Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and improving outcomes for all learners
