Level 4 Teaching Assistants / Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across our partner schools in
Manchester on a day-to-day, short-term, long-term or temp-to-perm basis, starting September 2026 .

Your main responsibilities will include
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective learning across the curriculum.
- Leading lessons and learning activities in the absence of the class teacher where required.
- Planning and delivering targeted learning activities for individuals and small groups.
- Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
- Providing targeted support for pupils with SEND and adapting learning to meet individual needs.
- Supporting effective behaviour management and promoting positive attitudes to learning.
- Helping to create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Building strong and professional relationships with pupils, teachers and wider school staff.
- Supporting assessment, monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and other support staff to meet pupils’ individual needs.
- Assisting with classroom organisation, preparation and the development of learning resources.
- Upholding safeguarding procedures and promoting the welfare of all children and young people.
Requirements or Skills
- Level 4 Teaching Assistant, HLTA qualification or an equivalent relevant qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or within a similar education-based role.
- Experience leading lessons or learning activities independently.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and effective learning strategies.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND is desirable.
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- A flexible, adaptable and reliable approach to working across different school environments.
- The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
