Milk Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious primary school in Haringey to appoint a dedicated Year 2 Teacher for a September start. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging lessons, nurturing young learners and helping pupils build the strong foundations they need for future success.

The successful Year 2 Teacher will join a supportive Key Stage 1 team and play a vital role in ensuring pupils continue to develop confidence in reading, writing and mathematics while fostering a love of learning. Year 2 is a crucial stage in primary education, where children consolidate phonics knowledge, develop reading fluency and strengthen their core literacy and numeracy skills.

The Role:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Working as a Year 2 Teacher to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Supporting pupils’ progress in reading, writing and mathematics
  • Delivering high-quality phonics and literacy instruction
  • Assessing, tracking and monitoring pupil attainment and progress
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, parents and colleagues
  • Contributing positively to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1
  • Strong understanding of the Year 2 curriculum and assessment expectations
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Passion for developing confident and independent learners
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families
  • ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply

Essential Requirements:
