Milk Education are currently recruiting for a proactive and resilient Reflection Room Supervisor to join a well-established secondary school in Abbey Wood from September 2026 until July 2027 on a temporary agency contract. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting students to make positive behavioural choices and remain engaged with their learning. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of behaviour across the school, ensuring students placed in the reflection room are supported to reflect on their actions and successfully reintegrate into lessons.

Located in Abbey Wood, the school benefits from excellent transport links including the Elizabeth Line, making it easily accessible from across South East London and Kent. The area continues to see significant investment and regeneration, creating a vibrant and growing community that places a strong emphasis on education and opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising students within the reflection room and ensuring expectations are consistently maintained
  • Supporting students to reflect on behaviour incidents and identify positive next steps
  • Monitoring student engagement with set work and encouraging productive learning habits
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and progress within the reflection room
  • Liaising with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders regarding student behaviour and reintegration plans
  • Promoting a calm, structured, and supportive environment at all times
  • Building positive relationships with students to encourage personal growth and accountability
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have previous experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, mentoring, or behaviour support setting
  • Be confident managing behaviour and maintaining professional boundaries
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be calm, patient, and resilient under pressure
  • Be committed to supporting students to achieve positive outcomes
  • Have experience working with students with SEMH needs or additional needs (desirable)
