Milk Education are working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Greenwich to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about supporting children’s learning, confidence and personal development.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored assistance for pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping children overcome challenges, develop independence and achieve their individual goals within a positive classroom environment.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils across the primary age range with their learning and development
  • Working as a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 and small-group support
  • Assisting children with additional needs, including SEND, ASD, ADHD and SEMH requirements
  • Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities
  • Helping teachers deliver engaging lessons through differentiated support and resources
  • Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour choices
  • Supporting children’s social and emotional development throughout the school day
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and families to ensure pupils receive the best possible support

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner or Childcare Worker
  • Experience supporting children within a school, nursery, care or community setting
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
  • A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential

Essential Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to Work in the UK
