Milk Education is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive secondary school in Tottenham (N15) to recruit a Cover Supervisor to start ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and motivated individual who is considering a career in education or looking to gain valuable experience within a secondary school setting.
The Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher. You will ensure students remain engaged, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and support learning where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising classes during teacher absences
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and activities
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting students with their work and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential)
- Confident classroom presence with strong behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about working in education
- A degree or relevant qualification is desirable
