Milk Education are working with an exceptional SEN school in South Liverpool who are seeking full-time SEND Teaching Assistants to work with children that have Autism and Complex Needs. This is a full-time, temp to perm opportunity for September 2026.

The School are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and accommodating to the child’s learning needs for this SEND Teaching Assistant position. The hours of work are 08:30am- 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Teaching Assistant - Role & Responsibilities

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
  • Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level - Non-negotiables

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
  • Must have a passion for education
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Must be reliable and punctual
