Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Knowsley (L20) on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide general classroom support in a Reception class, assisting with day-to-day learning activities and helping to deliver engaging phonics and reading sessions. You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced team who are passionate about creating a positive and inclusive environment where every child can flourish.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general classroom support to the class teacher and pupils.
  • Support the learning and development of Reception pupils through structured play, group work, and guided reading.
  • Assist with the delivery of phonics and early reading activities.
  • Encourage inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroom.
  • Help with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and assessment activities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Recent and relevant experience working in an educational or childcare setting.
  • A Level 2 (or higher) Teaching Assistant qualification – CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent.
  • A passion for supporting early years learning, particularly in literacy and phonics.
  • Ability to follow direction from the class teacher and work effectively as part of a team.
