About the Role

We’re looking for a caring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in a KS1 classroom. You’ll work closely with the class teacher and external professionals to deliver tailored learning support that promotes engagement and independence.

Contract: Full-time until December 2025, with the potential to extend until Easter 2026 for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD (training provided).
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and outside agencies to implement individual learning plans.
  • Encourage participation, confidence, and social development in the classroom.
  • Help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children in a school or educational setting.
  • Understanding of ASD and effective strategies for SEN support.
