Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Knowsley to recruit a Science Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Science graduate, aspiring teacher, or experienced Science Teacher with knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, or Physics who is keen to inspire students, build confidence, and support academic achievement across KS3 and KS4.
This role is open to both recent Science graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience and experienced teachers seeking their next opportunity within secondary education. Whether you are beginning your teaching journey or bringing established classroom experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact within a supportive school environment.
The Role as a Science Teacher:
- Deliver engaging Science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics
- Support students in developing confidence, scientific knowledge, and practical skills
- Prepare pupils for assessments, examinations, and GCSE coursework
- Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs
- Encourage participation and positive behaviour through engaging teaching strategies
- Track student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Build positive relationships to motivate and inspire learners
The Ideal Candidate as a Science Teacher:
- A degree in a Science-related subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or similar)
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Science
- Experience teaching or working with secondary-aged students is desirable
- Open to both recent graduates and experienced teachers
- Confident, adaptable, and engaging communication style
- Passion for education and supporting young people
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
