Role Overview
Milk Education is recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, two-form entry primary school in the L23 area of Liverpool. This role is ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants or individuals looking to further develop their skills within a supportive Early Years setting. You will work closely with the Reception class teacher to support children academically, socially, and emotionally during this important stage of their early education.
Classroom & School Support
- Two-form entry primary school rooted in the local community

Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective EYFS activities and lessons
- Work with individual children and small groups to support learning and development
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Support children with SEN and additional learning needs
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and confidence
- Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of learning resources
- Observe and record children’s progress where appropriate
- Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and wider school staff
What We’re Looking For
- Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant school-based experience
- Experience working within EYFS or Reception is desirable
- Experience supporting children with SEN is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A patient, nurturing, and child-centred approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
