Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Liverpool (L21) on a long-term basis. The school is a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. It places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, with pupils taking part in engaging outdoor education sessions twice a week to enrich their learning and development.
This is a fantastic opportunity to provide general classroom support in a Nursery class, helping children with their early development, learning, and social skills. You will be joining a supportive and experienced team dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Hours: Monday- Friday 8:45 - 3:15
Role type: Start September 2026 - March 2027 (possible temp-to-perm opportunity)
Your Key Responsibilities as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant:
- Provide classroom support to a small group of children
- Support children’s learning through group work, interventions, and focused 1:1 support
- Assist with the delivery of phonics, early reading and writing
- Encourage positive behaviour, inclusion, and emotional development
- Support with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and observation/assessment tasks
Essential Requirements:
- Recent and relevant experience working in an educational setting
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent) OR early years experience
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
- Ability to follow guidance from the class teacher and work effectively as part of a team
