Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming one‑form entry Primary School in Liverpool (Kirkby) on a long‑term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide classroom support in year 1, assisting with day‑to‑day learning activities and helping to deliver engaging lessons. You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced team who are passionate about creating a positive and inclusive environment where every child can flourish.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils in year 1
  • Support learning through group work, interventions, and focused activities.
  • Support with phonics – Read Write Inc
  • Encourage inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroom.
  • Help with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and assessment activities.

Essential Requirements:

  • Recent and relevant experience working in an educational setting.
  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification – CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent.
  • A passion for supporting pupils across all primary stages.
  • Read Write Inc Trained
  • Ability to follow direction from the class teacher and work effectively as part of a team.
