Milk Education is working with a primary school seeking a full‑time KS1 Teaching Assistant to work 1‑2‑1 with an SEN child in Year 1. This role starts immediately and is a temporary, long‑term position. The School is looking for someone patient, nurturing and accommodating to the child’s learning needs. The hours of work are 08:30am‑15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

This role will involve keeping the child on task and ensuring that the work they are doing is being done to a good standard. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and ensuring the child’s needs are being met. You will provide a patient and nurturing learning environment for the child.

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
  • Deliver catch‑up sessions
Non‑negotiables:
  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
  • Must have a passion for education
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Must be reliable and punctual
