Milk Education are working with a primary school in Liverpool (L17) who are seeking a full-time Nursery Support Assistant to support the class teacher in an EYFS setting. This role is starting immediately and will be a temporary, long-term position starting on 8th December, with a high possibility of extension after Christmas.
The school are looking for someone who is caring, patient, nurturing and accommodating to all children’s needs and who is happy to support with personal care (nappy changing). The hours of work are 08:30am-15:30pm, Monday to Friday.
This role will involve supporting the class teacher in the day-to-day setup and running of the EYFS classroom, ensuring all children are kept on task and learning to their full potential. You will be responsible for getting resources ready for the day and providing a patient and nurturing learning environment for every child. You will also be supporting children with SEND whose additional needs range from Autism to Complex Needs.
Role & Responsibilities:- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
- Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
- Personal care with children
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
- Deliver catch-up sessions
- Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
- Must have a passion for education
- Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
- Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
