Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Liverpool to recruit an English Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate English specialist who is keen to support students in raising attainment, building confidence, and developing key literacy skills.
The Role as an English Teacher:
As an English Teacher, you will work with students across KS3 and KS4 who require additional academic support. This may include pupils who are underachieving, have gaps in learning, or require targeted intervention to improve reading, writing, and exam skills.
Key Responsibilities as an English Teacher:
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group English tuition
- Support students with literacy, comprehension, and written expression
- Help pupils prepare for assessments and GCSE English
- Adapt sessions to meet individual learning needs
- Track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Build positive relationships to engage and motivate learners
The Ideal Candidate as an English Teacher:
- Strong subject knowledge in English (degree or equivalent desirable)
- Experience working with secondary-aged students
- Experience delivering interventions or tutoring (school-based preferred)
- Patient, adaptable, and engaging teaching style
- Excellent communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
