Milk Education is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in the L33 area of Liverpool on a long‑term, part‑time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to provide general classroom and targeted support within KS2, working closely with class teachers to support pupils’ academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing. You will be joining a positive and experienced school team committed to inclusive practice and high‑quality learning for all pupils.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general classroom support to the class teacher and KS2 pupils
  • Support learning through small group work, interventions, and focused 1:1 support
  • Assist with the delivery of reading comprehension, writing, spelling, and maths activities
  • Support pupils with additional needs to stay engaged and access the curriculum
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, inclusion, and emotional development
  • Support with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and assessment/observation tasks
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff across the school

Essential Requirements

  • Recent and relevant experience working in an educational setting
  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent)
  • Experience or a strong interest in working with KS2 pupils
  • A calm, patient, and nurturing approach to learning support
  • Ability to follow guidance from the class teacher and work effectively as part of a team
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
