Milk Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the L22 area of Liverpool on a long‑term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide general classroom support in KS1, helping children with their early development, learning, and social skills. You will be joining a supportive and experienced team dedicated to creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide general classroom support to the class teacher and KS1 pupils
- Support children’s learning through group work, interventions, and focused 1:1 support
- Assist with the delivery of phonics, early reading, writing, and maths activities
- Encourage positive behaviour, inclusion, and emotional development
- Support with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and observation/assessment tasks
Essential Requirements
- Recent and relevant experience working in an educational setting
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent)
- A passion for supporting KS1 pupils
- A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
- Ability to follow guidance from the class teacher and work effectively as part of a team
