We’re currently recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher in Leigh, WN7. This Year 2 Teacher role is full-time, and you will be teaching a class of 27 children, with the support of a full-time TA. This role is on a long-term basis starting in September and is a temporary role. You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on supporting children to love life and love learning.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Teaching the children in class and ensuring they complete their work to a high standard
- Guiding children through the curriculum, marking work and setting homework tasks
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Upholding the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
- Promoting an accepting, inclusive classroom where every student feels they belong
Requirements or Skills:
- A teaching qualification with QTS
- Recent teaching experience in a school or education setting
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
- Exceptional organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
