What you’ll do:
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
- Teach general science and, where applicable, your subject specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Support students to develop scientific knowledge, practical skills, and confidence in the subject.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and achievement.
- Work collaboratively with department staff to support student progress and attainment.
Who we’re looking for:
- Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS or equivalent recognised teaching qualification).
- ECTs and experienced Science Teachers welcome to apply.
- Specialists in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or confident General Science Teachers.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
- Passionate educators committed to helping young people achieve their full potential.
What this role offers:
- Pay: ECTs / Early Career Teachers: £168.80 – £178.58 per day
- Main Pay Scale (M1–M6): £168.80 – £232.58 per day
- Upper Pay Scale (UPS): £243.45 – £261.79 per day
- Pay rates dependent on experience, qualifications, and assignment responsibilities.
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am – 3:30 pm
- September starts available
- Long‑term placements & temp‑to‑perm opportunities
