About the Role
Milk Education is working in partnership with a network of high-performing and supportive secondary schools across Wakefield and South Leeds. We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
This role is ideal for ECTs, experienced teachers, or supply teachers looking for flexible or long-term opportunities. You’ll be supported by strong leadership teams and well-resourced science departments, with the opportunity to make a real impact on students’ curiosity and understanding of science.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics)
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote high expectations
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Work collaboratively with departmental staff and wider school teams
- Uphold safeguarding policies and school procedures at all times
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or are working towards it (ECTs welcome)
- Strong subject knowledge in Science
- Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to raising attainment and inspiring young people
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different school settings
