Milk Education are recruiting dedicated and confident Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join primary schools in the Leeds area. These roles offer excellent opportunities to take active roles within the classrooms, supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will work closely with the class teachers and wider school team, contributing to high‑quality learning experiences and helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where every child is supported to achieve their full potential.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality classroom support across KS1 and KS2 working in partnership with the class teacher
- Deliver targeted small‑group interventions and structured 1:1 support
- Support the planning and delivery of phonics, early literacy, writing, and numeracy activities
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to support assessment and planning
- Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing
- Support pupils with additional needs, adapting activities where appropriate
- Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning resources
- Act as a positive role model, supporting pupils’ independence and confidence
Essential Requirements
- Recent and relevant experience working within a primary school setting
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent) essential
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum and child development
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
- Confidence working independently and following teacher‑led planning
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
