We’re currently recruiting for a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive primary school or early years setting across Leeds on a long or short-term basis, with flexible start dates available. You’ll be joining an inclusive setting that places early development, wellbeing and positive relationships at the heart of everything they do. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Early Years Practitioner who enjoys creating engaging learning experiences and supporting children to build the foundations for a successful education.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children across the Early Years Foundation Stage with their learning and development
  • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities linked to the EYFS framework
  • Supporting children’s communication, language, physical, social and emotional development
  • Observing and assessing children’s progress and providing feedback to the wider team
  • Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment
  • Supporting children through play-based learning and exploration
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour
  • Working alongside teachers and other practitioners to meet individual children’s needs
  • Supporting children with SEND and adapting activities where required

Requirements or Skills:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, Education or a related subject
  • Recent experience working within an Early Years or childcare setting
  • Good understanding of the EYFS framework and child development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring and nurturing approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and families
  • Comfortable working as part of a wider team
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children and helping them reach their potential

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
