We're currently recruiting for Graduate Teaching Assistants in Leeds to support welcoming primary schools on a full-time or part-time basis. You’ll be joining a supportive and inclusive primary school in Leeds, where pupil wellbeing, inclusion and positive relationships are valued. Your Main Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 on a one-to-one, small-group and classroom basis
  • Working alongside class teachers to support learning, engagement and progress
  • Helping deliver catch-up and intervention sessions, particularly within Maths and English
  • Supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment
  • Building positive relationships with pupils and encouraging their confidence and independence
  • Supporting phonics, reading, writing and numeracy activities
  • Providing general classroom and pastoral support where required

Requirements or Skills

  • A recent university degree – all degree subjects considered
  • Based in or able to commute to Leeds
  • A genuine interest in working with children and young people
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive, adaptable and positive attitude
  • Confidence working with primary-aged pupils
  • Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial but not essential
  • A willingness to complete relevant CPD and training
