Are you passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential? Milk Education is working with a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Leeds who are looking for dedicated Behaviour Support Buddies to join their teams. This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who are patient, resilient, and committed to helping children develop positive behaviours, confidence, and emotional resilience. Whether your experience comes from education, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, care, or support work, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children to encourage engagement and confidence
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement tailored support plans
  • Encourage pupils to develop independence, resilience, and social skills
  • Help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
  • Promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s policies
  • Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom to maximise learning opportunities

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people in schools, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, care, or similar settings
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence supporting children with behavioural, emotional, or additional learning needs
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed

Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential—we’re looking for individuals with the right attitude and transferable skills.
