Do you believe in the power of play and therapeutic approaches to unlock a child’s potential? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our specialist team, supporting children aged 5–11 with a range of complex needs, including autism and other severe learning difficulties. Our West Drayton-based primary SEN school is a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child is celebrated for who they are. We follow a play-based learning approach with a strong emphasis on therapeutic strategies , creating a calm, safe, and happy space where pupils can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. As an HLTA, you will: Support the planning and delivery of tailored, play-based lessons Lead group and 1:1 interventions with a therapeutic focus Cover lessons when needed, under teacher guidance Support pupils’ emotional well-being and development Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families Help foster a safe, stimulating, and joyful learning environment HLTA status or equivalent experience Proven experience working in SEN settings (preferably primary) A calm, patient, and nurturing approach Strong understanding of therapeutic and play-based learning Excellent teamwork and communication skills A genuine passion for supporting children with special needs The Milk Difference: We are an environmentally-friendly education supply agency providing quality talent to local schools.
